The Pre-Move Strategy

We found a house. A brand new house. A brand new house that has been sitting empty for about nine months. This means bugs. Daddy long legs. Spiders. Wasps nest. Spider nests. You name it, I've seen it. I went today to clean this new house. It took forever trying to debug it. The nightmare got worse.

It's well water. Well water that has been sitting for nine months, un-ran. I went to clean the brand new bathrooms. It smelt like rotten eggs. The water was brown. Anyone that knows my personality knows that bugs, smelly water and anything dirty just isn't my style. I almost died.

I thought the stinky, dirty water was going to be permanent. I had to call the assistant (aka the husband) to make sure this was normal. I also had to put a call into the builder to make sure this was normal. Turns out it is normal and only temporary. Thank someones lucky stars. My blood pressure was boiling over it.

The kids were with me while I was cleaning the inside. Boog kept running around asking who fah ted. (yea it is actually fart, his r sounds haven't rolled yet)

The assistant has to pressure wash the outside and the garage this weekend. He also has to put up the $380 worth of curtains and curtain rods that I just purchased. That was money that I really didn't want to get rid of. I figured it as an investment though. I'm sure any passer bys wouldn't appreciate seeing Boog trapsing around the house naked. His new nickname is about to be wilderness boy. Sometimes I swear he was half raised by a pack of wolves.

I'm happy to be putting my little family back together in one place. It has been a rough year for all of us. We deserve to have our lives calm down a bit.

We should be moved in within the next couple weeks. The main thing I dread isn't the actual moving of heavy objects. It's the fact that I'll have to go a few days again without internet. How sad is my life?!
