Early Puberty Intervention

Brudder is in a weird stage of his life. He is weird about nakedness. Oddly, he is comfortable being naked in front of women like myself or my grandmother. He hides his parts in front of men like his own father and grandfather. It's odd to me because you would think being a boy, he would be more comfortable being naked around other people that hang like him but he is the total opposite.

Last night Brudder was laying in bed with me while I was reading. The Assistant was brushing his teeth in the doorway of the bathroom. He had one arm up on the molding exposing his hairy armpits.

Brudder: Ewww, Daddy has hair under his pits.

Me: All guys have hair under their pits unless they shave them.

Brudder: That's gross.

Me: Get use to it, you'll get some too.

Brudder: Nuh uh. I'm not.

The Assistant: You'll also get some right here. (as he pulls his shorts down far enough to expose the top of his man jungle. And no folks he didn't show his weiner or anything, just the top of his man jungle.)

Brudder: EEEEEEEWWWWWWWW. Daddy, that is nasty. I'm shaving mine when I get some.

Me: Naw. You don't ever shave it all off, you just trim it to look pretty and tame.

Brudder: That's what I'm doing then.

The look on his face was so funny. Considering he is seven and a half, I thought he had been more observant of his father and his hairy areas. I guess he was never paying much attention.

When he was giving Daddy a hug before bed, he wouldn't get close enought to touch his hairy armpits.

Brudder: I'm calling you pits from now on Daddy.
