Life has been busy lately. As you can tell with my last post being in May.
Brudder kept us busy all of May with baseball practice leading up to three full weekends running into June with baseball All-Star tournaments and then a party celebrating. I am proud to say that his team won the District Championship. They did amazing. At the state qualifier they did a really good job but couldn't pull out a close game win to make it to state. I was kind of relieved as this year I was pretty baseballed out!
Work has been keeping me busy. My schedule has been crazy with all of the activities that have been going on.
Einstein came back from the mountains for a visit which I think will be again permanent. It didn't take long for the fighting and arguing to pick right back up where it left off when he left last summer and visited during Christmas. He has grown so much. The last year with him gone was the hardest. I have never been away from him for a long period of time in his ten years on earth and I don't plan to spend any more months like that again until he grows up and goes to college.
Boog has been...boog. He is still his crazy three and a half year old self doing all of the things that three and a half year olds do. I'm not getting into it as it brings back memories of washing walls of sharpies and wiping poo off of the toilet. Luckily for him he is absolutely adorable when he gives me cuddles. With the economy the way it is, even the Black Market is suffering in the child trafficking department.
The biggest news is that we are going on vacation! A real, all of us together for the first time as a family of five, away from home vacation. The Assistant and I honeymooned back in September 2003 for a week. The last vacation I took was in June 2005. I had the two boys and I was pregnant with Boog. The Assistant wasn't able to go because he had just started a new job in January of that year. We always plan to take vacations but something always comes up and life ends up getting in the way. So, this is the year of a new beginning. Hopefully we can keep doing something with the boys every year. I am totally stoked about getting out of here for a little while.
Other than that, all is pretty good. I'm a major blog neglecter but hopefully I can get better about it. I'm trying to enjoy as much of this summer as I possibly can!
